The most important international classic and antique sailing tour, the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge, is preparing for the 2013 season, and we are also pleased to announce the addition of a new host city to its List of events. Naples, one of the most extraordinary cities in the world, will join the PCYC Mediterranean Tour this year. The 10th ‘Le Vele d’ Epoca a Napoli’ will be held in the Gulf of Naples from June 26 to 30, 2013.
Its first entry to the Panerai Classic Sailing Challenge International Tour confirms the fast-growing position of the Naples Regatta in the classical sailing world.
It also completes the partnership between the organizers of the past decade, Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia and the Italian Navy Staff Sailing Office, as well as Officine Panerai, a high-end watch brand that has been with the watch brand since its inception Sea World has a special relationship and has been a sponsor of the tour for the past nine years.
According to tradition, the 2013 Panerai Classic Sailing Challenge kicked off with the Antigua Classic Sailing Challenge in the Caribbean. The longest-running international tournament (Mediterranean and North American) has also returned, and the Isle of Wight (Wight) Cowes has been making great progress each year.
